A snowy adventure

"And the winner is Jiggy!" The ref announced after 3 seconds of Shannon being pinned, it was clear she was defeated.
Shannon sighed, glaring at Jiggy. "Congrats." She said half-heartedly, shoving him off and picking up her weapon.
"Ladies and gentleman, lets have a round of applause for our first to enter round 2, and the lovely lady who wasnt so lucky!"  The ringmaster said, shaking both their hands. Shannon grumpily trudged out of the arena, muttering a few harsh words about herself and Jiggy under her breath.

"Up next is..."

Rose fell asleep a little after Jiggys fight, watching the next three fights wizz past, she jumped awake slightly when Luckys name was called out.

"Up next is Lucky vs. The Shadow!" The ringmaster announced, Rose smiled.
"Good luck." She said, nudging him gently towards the arena.

(Sounds good, and can you think of a name for Roses opponent? Im out of gladiator-like character ideas.)

Lucky smiled and nodded, "thanks" he said. As pulled a mask on and went to the arena. Jiggy was next to Rose, after Lok was out of ear shot. He said "I hope he makes it past the second round, but I doubt it." As if the first round was already decided.

When the match started, Lucky started looking around like he was lost. Because as soon as start was yelled, Shadow disappeared. Even though he couldn't see his opponent. Some how whenever his opponent attacked, he some how blocked the attacks. This went on or few a few minutes. Until Instead of blocking, he ducked and stabbed inward. Injuring the shadow, who let go of the weapon and cried out.

Jiggy just smirked, "I call him lucky, because while he isn't strong. That guys' instincts, reflexes and intuition is second to none."

"Halt!" The ref cried out, running over once they had paused, to see if Shadow was injured enough to have to stoo the fight.
"Im alright." The shadow mumbled, clearly shaken up. "Nice work kid, my invisibility uses a lot of energy..." he said weakly.

"Lucky is the winner!" He announced as the shadow started to sway slightly, the ref just catching him before he passed out.

"Congratulations Lucky, lets have a round of applause for our winner this time and our fallen fighter!" The ringmaster said as the ref and a medic carried the Shadow out of the arena.

Lok nodded, feeling good he got passed the first round. Then, went back up and joined his friends. "Your up soon Rose, you better win too" he said with a smile.

(Also what about glacier? <-sorry forgot to add to last post)

"I plan on it!" Rose said excitedly, smirking as she made her way into the arena, gulping as she realised just how many people were there. She gave an awkward wave, hoping it wouldnt be too distracting.

"Rose vs. the Glacier!" the ringmaster announced, before stepping out of their way. Rose glanced up to see a tall, muscular and pale man, wearing armour made out of what looked like... ice...?

She experimentally lunged forward, slamming the hilt of her sword into his chestplate, the vibration reverberrating through the sword and knocking her back onto her bum, but not even damaging the armour. The man just stood there, his arms crossed, looking bored. She narrowed her eyes, running forward again, this time aiming to bop him on the head with the flat of her blade, but he grabbed her, picking her up and spinning her round over his head, getting ready to throw her, before she punched him in the nose, drawing blood on both her knuckles and his face.
"Put. Me. Down!" She yelled, punching him again, in the face. He threw her to the ground, holding his nose and growling in anger. Her sword went skittering across the ground, that she hit hard with a grunt, but she was too into this fight to notice any pain. She ran forward again, going for a snap kick, but he grabbed her leg and flipped her over, driving her face-first into the ground again.
"And the winner..." The ref trailled off as Rose stood up, grabbing her sword.
This time, Rose yelled angrily before he snickered, and Rose paused for a second. To beat this guy, she had to use strategy, because when it came to brute force she had nothing on him.
She strafed to his left, as both times hed grabbed her he had used his right hand, which suggested that was his strongest side. She tried to go fast, slashing lightly but quickly with her sword, forcing the Glacier back up against the wall of the arena, covered in fine cuts. He glared at her, doing his best to dodge each cut, but he was slow. He went to grab her again, she dodged, and instead he grabbed her sword, forcing it out of her hand and attempting to drive the point into her chest.

"Halt!" The ref yelled, running forward, "Aiming to kill is a foul!" he yelled again, keeping his distance as he was unarmed, but the glacier didnt listen. Rose grabbed the sword, throwing him off balance and he crashed into the wall, knocking it down and sending audience members running away from the crumbled edge.
When the dust cleared, the Glacier was unconcious and Rose covered in bruises.
"I win!" She laughed, standing up too quikly and falling over again. "Ouch."

"The winner both by default because of a foul, but also a tremendous display of... stubbornness, Rose!" The ref shouted, helping Rose up and out of the arena. Two medics rushed over to the Glacier.

"Everyone, round two is starting this afternoon after lunch. The seats at the front will be fixed by then." The ringmaster announced, the audience disbanded, some stopping to talk to the fighters and try and get photos and autographs with them. Rose slumped down on a bench with a sigh.
"Ill get you some ice packs and bandages." one of the medics said, Rose smiled and nodded, still out of breath from the fight.

When they proclaimed Rose the winner and said that round two would be starting up in a little bit.

Both Jiggy and Lok went over and tried to reach Rose. To see if she was ok.

"Hi." Rose said, looking up as Jiggy and Lucky came over. "You guys did pretty amazing. So we all made it to round 2? Thats great. Maybe it will just be us 3 in the final." She said, still holding an ice pack on her bruised cheek, with her fist bandaged. "How did you guys find it? Both Shannon and the Shadow looked tough."

Jiggy shrugged, "at least mine wasn't that smart or seemed much or strategy. So even without a weapon, I was able to beat her." He said with a shrug, still wearing his armor.

Lucky had his mask on, "You say that as if it was easy. I couldn't even figure out where my guy was." He chuckled and added, "I still won though."

"So where did you guys learn to fight like that?" She asked.

Lok didn't know how to answer, thankfully Jiggy didn't even hesitate. "I taught myself and a Lucky partially runs on instinct, though we always roughhoused with each other." He said with a big goofy smile on his face.

"Sounds fun." Rose replied, returning the goofy smile with a smirk. "You taught yourself very well, it looked like you had real combat experience out there." SHe complimented.

"Round two, branch one! Starting in five minutes!" The ringmaster announced as peoplewere starting to file back into the seating in the arena.

"You ready Jiggy?" She asked, glancing over at the bench where the other three succesful branch one contestants were seated ready. They all looked even tougher than their previous opponents.

(Should we controll eachothers opponent from now on?)

Jiggy chuckled and said, "thanks but I kinda just did what I had to."

Jiggy smiled at Rose, "I guess we will see won't we?" Then gave his new friend a half hug, before jumping off the bench and headed to the arena.

(^^ Sure, according to your thing. There should only be two more rounds till the final. So I think controlling each others' opponent now is fine)

Rose wanted to ask what he meant by had to, but didnt push it.

"Jiggy vs Inarius!"

Inarius was a short, slim man, his face covered by much of his floppy mages hat. His long robes kept teipping him up, and he held a long, wooden staff in his hands. He gave Jiggy an awkward smile, but also confident.

He held up his staff, yelling a few words and a ball of glowing purple energy sped towards Jiggy...

Jiggy blinked at the robes, before returned the awkward smile. Jiggy jumped back a surprising amount for his armor. Trying to dodge the purple energy, keeping his eyes trained on Inarius.

Inarius narrowed his eyes seeing the way Jiggy dodged, and switched his attack to a faster, less powerful ball of energy, fired in rapid succesion.

Jiggy continued to dodge, the fifth orb skimming his shoulder, the sixth hitting him square in the chest. However by then He was right in front of Inarius and pulled his twin daggers out. trying to stab at his opponent.

Inarius noticed his attempt to stab, quikly putting up a shield, although the blade sliced clean through it, shattering it like glass as he jumped back to try and dodge, the blade ripped his sleeve, drawing blood but not fazing him. He quikly drew a halberd out of the magic energy, holding it out like a spear andattacking...

Jiggy used to his daggers to shove the halberds out of the way. Trying to stab again, keeping an eye on the energy sword. He had a feeling it was more than just an average energy sword.

The halberd morphed quikly into a sword, the energy intensifying in the more compact form. Inarius dodged the stab, the energy sword quikly morphing again into a long tentacle-like object and winding round Jiggys blade-arm.

Jiggy cried out as it wrapped around one of his arms. It hurt, but his eyes lit up with a fire they didn't have before. He lunged foreward at the man, pulling a dagger from his belt. using his free hand to try and dig it in to the mage.

Inarius hesitated as Jiggy cried out, "Are you o-" He was cut off by Jiggy's dagger impaling his shoulder. He let the energy sword dissipate as he held his hand to his shoulder, backing off.

"Jiggy is the winner!" The ref announced as a medic came over to help Inarius.

"Congratulations." Inarius nodded, his teeth gritted through the pain of being stabbed.

Jiggy nodded, his arm was sore, but he pulled out a small pouch and handed it to the mage. "Here, this should help and for the record. I'm sure the prince would have lived to worked with someone as Verasatile as yourself." He said, before turning around and heading back to his friends.

Rolling his shoulder a little, trying to get rid of the soreness. Which Lok didn't help by patting Jiggys' back and said. "Guess I am up," then started heading for the circle. Before the announcer ever called for him.

"Thankyou." Inarius said, leaving the arena.

~~~ Onto branch 2 ~~~

"In the next match, Lucky vs Jaques!" The ringmaster announced, a short man coming out to meet Lucky, holding a small dagger, his hand shaking.

"Y-You attack first..." He stammered, holding the knife out.

Lok couldn't help but feel awkward for fighting someone who seemed almost scared too. Even so, he had to prove to his father that he knew what he was doing. So He just nodded and lunged forward. Sword held out right.

Jaques' expression darkened as he noticed Lucky didnt hesitate. His sword began to grow rapidly, tripling in size as he got closer...
