The Valentines Dance 2016 {Finished}

Nikola seemed to blend into the crowd. She was surprised to see how many even partial demons were here. Even so she decided to start out with some of the cider that she saw and just watch how people acted. not really being one for dancing.

Zak saw the crowd around the house and had decided to check it out. He wasn't great at parties, and felt a little awkward on his own. He noticed an interesting-looking girl with blue hair standing with a drink, and he approached her, putting on his best smile.
"W-want to dance, m'am?" He asked, mentally kicking himself for stammering, hoping she didn't think he was a complete freak now.

Nikola raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. Not sure what to make of the guy and was tempted to say she wasn't much for dncng. However, she was at a party, so she might was well act like it. So smirked and took the strangers' hand. "Sure, why not."

Zak smiled slightly. "I'm Zak." He said quietly, relaxing a little.

Nikola smiled back, revealing her fangs. "Nikola, nice to meet you
" She said trying to be friendly.

"Thats a pretty name." He said, wincing at how dumb he sounded, and trying not to jump when he noticed her fangs. "So, where abouts are you from?" He asked, noticing she was a demon so probably from somewhere far away.

Nikola chuckled, "I'm from the demon lands' Zakky boy. Heard word that something interested was going to happen here. So caught a ship to see what it was," she said honestly. Then grabbed his hand, "now Zakky boy didn't you say you wanted to dance?" She added and slowly started for the dance floor.

"O-oh right, dancing..." Zak said, ignoring the nickname she was using, even though it annoyed him slightly. He smiled, putting his hand on her shoulder. "You know a waltz?" He asked, hearing the song was a fast waltz.

Nikola smirked, her fang showing again. "As a matter of fact, I do. Think you can keep up Zakky?" She ended teasingly, curious to see his reactions. She may just be half-demon, but she was still a demon and enjoyed teasing and poking others' and watching their reactions.

"Of course I can keep up." Zak smirked, spinning her round slightly faster. "Just dont get dizzy." He teased, starting to enjoy this, as he realised he didnt feel as awkward as just a few minutes ago.

Nikola chuckled and let Zak lead, letting him spin her as much as he wanted. Keeping up with every step, half way through the Waltz. She smirked and said softly, "not bad. Maybe I should introduce you to a few demon waltzes. Think you might enjoy the Zakky boy."

Zak was open to anything. "Alright then." He said cautiously, wondering what she meant by demon waltzes.

Nikola chuckled almost mischievously, "well then we start this another day. For now let's just get through this party, especially since I doubt many other people here know any of those watlzes' and as fun as the chaos would be to watch. These things tend to be awkward enough, on their own." She said and then pulled the guy off the dance floor, when the song ended.

Zak smiled, "That was fun." He said, as she pulled him away from the dance floor. She was incredibly strong, he noticed.
"Do you like punch or something else?" He asked her, noticing the drinks table was quiet.

Nikola nodded, "I prefer tea, but punch isn't bad. What about you, do you enjoy punch? Also what brought you to this party?" She asked heading to the drink table.

"I prefer tea too." He said, picking up the tea pot and pouring two cups.

"Well, I came here looking for my sister. She went on a trip up north, and I havent heard from her in a while..." He trailed off. "She would never pass up a party, she loves the food, the people... Ow ow ow!" He suddenly stopped, relising hed just poured hot tea over his hand.

"Sorry about that!" He smiled awkwardly, wiping his hand off on his cape. "Here." He said, handing Nikola a cup of tea.

Nikola covered her mouth to stifle a laugh, the man was being kind. The least she could do, was at attempt to not be rude back. So smiled back and took the cup, "thanks I hear the kingdoms have their own special teas they are best in. Whats' your favorite?" She asked curiously, a little curious as to who his sister is, but if it made him so distracted that he would pour tea on himself. Than maybe it would be best to ask about her another time.

"I like the tea they grow in the east, although where i'm from it all has to be imported so we dont get it very often." He said, looking up. "What about you? Is there any interesting tea where youre from?"

Nikola was silent for a few moments before nodding, "ya there is alot of interesting teas. Some of my favorite teas come from the central Provence, the plant is a special one that only grows in a certain groups of caves. I visit them from time to time, the insects that eat the plants. Also glow like a night sky in their adult forms, quite a nice sight."

"Whoah, really?! Insects that glow?" Zak said excitedly, suddenly distrcted from the topic of tea.

Nikola nodded, "ya. Only a few know how to find the caves, but I have my ways and watching them. Is like watching the night sky dance, it is beautiful. A couple of them even fly, which adds just another swirl to the beauty to it." she said with a smile, glad to see him excited about something.

"Wow." Zak said, smiling as well. "Could you... Culd you maybe tell me how to find it?" He asked, hoping she wouldnt be annoyed by the question.

Nikola smiled and nodded, before adding. "I could or later I could so you if want. Not the easiest place to find, even with directions." She admitted, before sipping her tea.

"That would be amazing, to travel to a new land, with you." He said, his smile brightening. "Although I need to know my sister is safe before I go anywhere..." He paused, staring at his tea, "Would you help me look for her?" He asked. "Then we can visit those caves!"
